Join the Party at CDS: Dinner & Auction - May 31, 2024

After a smashing return to campus last year we are excited to announce that The Country Day School’s Annual Dinner & Auction party will return on Friday, May 31, 2024! This is an evening you won’t want to miss as we come together as a community in our Cyclone Dome here on campus.
The CDS Dinner & Auction is our most-anticipated adult social event, as well as the largest fundraiser of the year. The evening features live music and entertainment, cocktails and dinner, a live and silent auction, and much more. CDS families and friends have been coming together to celebrate and make this event a huge success since 1974, raising in excess of $6 million dollars since the beginning.

Last year, this event  SOLD OUT in 2 days, and we anticipate the demand for tickets to be very high again this year. To guarantee your tickets we encourage you to consider becoming a sponsor for this fabulous evening. The benefits of sponsorship are numerous and vary depending on your level of commitment. And, a portion of all sponsorship levels are tax receiptable, according to CRA guidelines.

Silver and higher levels include a table of 10, which allows you to invite your friends and family to this amazing event! Other sponsorship levels come with an allotted number of tickets. Sponsorships can be made in a business or family name and can be split between families if you like.

Once you have reviewed the sponsorship levels attached and their benefits, click here to commit and guarantee your tickets. At this time you simply need to commit, and you can choose to make your payment in the 2023 tax year or delay payment until 2024. Do note that sponsorships are limited, so we encourage you to commit early.

We will share more information in the near future about Auction 2024, including other opportunities to support the evening such as donating an item, advertising or supporting a specific area at the event, and the date for individual ticket sales.

Please start spreading the word. Should you have questions or need additional information, feel free to contact Tracey Scott at auction@cds.on.ca.

Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you on May 31st!

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
