FAQ & Additional Information

Summer Camp FAQ

List of 7 frequently asked questions.

  • Where is CDS Summer Camp located?

We are located in King City at Dufferin St. and King Road. During the camp season, we use the entrance of the Junior School, clearly distinguished by the coaches welcoming campers each morning.
  • What are camp hours?

    9:00 am - 4:00 pm
  • Are lunch and snacks provided?

Yes! You will be sent a lunch menu with your welcome package at the beginning of June, as well as on the Monday your child begins camp. We are a nut-free camp and do not allow outside lunches or snacks within our dining hall. When registering, it is crucial to make note of any dietary restrictions or allergies so our Dining Hall staff are made fully aware.
  • I am trying to register but no sessions are showing up for my son/daughter?

Please ensure that your camper's age is entered correctly in the system. Camps will be available based on their age. Also ensure that they are entered as a “camper” not as a “parent”.
  • If my child successfully completed LIT camp, have they completed their community service hours?

Absolutely! After completing their second week of the LIT program your child will earn 20 Community Service Hours. However, it is their responsibility to bring in their Community Service Hours form to be completed by either their LIT Coach or the Camp Director.
  • Is busing available?

    Sorry, not at this time.
  • What is the refund policy?

You are eligible for a refund of fees, less a $100 administration fee if a child withdraws up to 30 days prior to the start of the camp session. Withdrawal requests for medical reasons must be accompanied by a doctor’s note. Refunds are not available if a child is absent.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGMENT

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
