It was Albert Einstein who said, “Imagination is more important than knowledge.” Why such a strong statement on imagination, a word more often associated with the arts, from a scientist? Einstein knew that imagination enhances basic knowledge giving rise to creativity and innovation.
We couldn't agree more.
At The Country Day School, we believe that the pursuit of knowledge forms the foundation and that imagination is of equal importance, particularly in the education of young people. This is why we take a balanced approach to education, never considering the arts to be of lesser importance.
Visual art, drama and music play an integral part in both our curriculum and
extra-curricular activities. Students from all grade levels have a chance to participate in our bands, choirs, art displays and drama productions.
Musical and dramatic talents are showcased at school performances several times a year. Students have opportunities to travel and perform at various venues, and visual art installations of students' work are celebrated throughout our hallways.
Why not come and take a look?
