Get ready for a thrilling summer at CDS Summer Camp in King, opening its doors in June 2025! We're gearing up for an exciting season filled with action-packed day camp experiences. Our diverse programs cater to a range of interests, featuring specialized sports instruction in basketball, tennis, volleyball, and multi-sport activities. Dive into the world of robotics, explore the mysteries of Mindbusters, and unleash creativity in our musical theatre and art programs. Join us for a summer of fun and adventure!

We're introducing four new camps this year: Racket Sports, Musical Theatre, Rocket Camp and VEX Robotics. Get ready for a unique experience filled with exploration, discovery, and outdoor adventures!

  • Art Camp

    For campers who have completed Grades 3 to 8

    Ignite your creativity at CDS Art Camp, where campers embark on a captivating artistic journey. Each day presents an opportunity to learn new techniques and skills while crafting their own daily masterpieces. Activities span a range of artistic realms, including painting, drawing, sketching, string art, paper art and more.

    Campers will not only explore their creative side but also experience the joy of self-expression. Join us for a week of artistic discovery, where imagination knows no bounds, and every creation becomes a unique story!
  • Rocket Camp

    For campers that have completed Grades 6 - 8

    Get ready to blast off! At Rocket Camp, campers will design, build, and launch their own rockets while diving into the science of flight and propulsion. Through hands-on engineering challenges and exciting experiments, they’ll learn how aerodynamics, physics, and problem-solving all come together to make things fly (hopefully up).

    The grand finale? Launch day—where campers will send their rockets soaring and see their hard work quite literally take off. If you’ve ever wanted to shoot for the stars (or at least the stratosphere), this is the camp for you! 🚀
  • Robotics Camp

    For campers who have completed Grades 3 to 8

    Embark on a tech-filled adventure at CDS Robotics Camp, where campers bring their creations to life with the LEGO® SPIKE robot kit. This hands-on camp explores structural design and programming, offering theme-based challenges leading to an exciting end-of-week demonstration. Campers will cultivate valuable problem-solving skills and connect with STEM concepts. Join us for a week of innovation, where every robot is a step into the future!
  • VEX V5 Robotics Camp

    For campers that have completed Grades 8 - 9

    Calling all future engineers and tech enthusiasts! This advanced robotics camp is designed for campers who have completed Grades 8 or 9 and are ready for the next level. Using the VEX V5 system, you’ll design, build, and program robots to take on exciting challenges.

    From coding competitions to real-world problem-solving, this camp will put your creativity and teamwork to the test. Whether you're preparing for future robotics competitions or just love building cool things, this is your chance to level up your engineering skills.
  • Mind Busters Camp (Math & Science)

    For campers who have completed Grades 3 to 8

    At the CDS Mind Busters Camp, campers will explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in an engaging and hands-on manner. Campers will delve into exciting experiments, coding activities, engineering challenges, and mathematical puzzles that spark curiosity and critical thinking.

    The program aims to cultivate a passion for STEM fields by providing a dynamic learning environment, fostering creativity, and encouraging collaborative problem-solving. Join us for a week of exploration, discovery, and a deep dive into the realms of science and technology!
  • Musical Theatre Camp

    For campers who have completed Grades 2 to 6

    Take center stage in Finding Nemo Jr.🐠 Over two weeks, campers will dive into rehearsals, learning lines, choreography, and songs as they bring this iconic story to the stage.
    From the first script read to the final bow, campers will build confidence, teamwork, and performance skills while bringing this underwater adventure to life. The camp wraps up with a big show for family and friends—so get ready to make a splash on stage!

  • Leaders in Training

    *Must have completed Grade 9 in June 2024

    This 2-week Leaders in Training (LIT) program will offer up-and-coming camp counselors the qualities and skills involved in becoming a good leader and firsthand experience in working with children ages 5 -13. Successful participants will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the week. Following the first week's completion, LITs return for a second week to immerse themselves in camp life, applying their newly acquired skills in a hands-on environment. LITs are eligible to receive 20 hours towards their volunteer hours at the end of this 2-week program.
  • Day Trippers Camp

    For campers who have completed Grades 6 to 8

    Don't miss the CDS Day Trippers Camp! Afternoons from Tuesday to Friday are filled with off-campus trips for activities like golf, laser tag, rock climbing, and bubble soccer. Join us for a week of adventure, new friends, and exciting experiences.

  • Discovery Rookie Camp

    For campers who have completed SK to Grade 2

    Introducing the CDS Discovery Camp, specially designed for young explorers who have completed SK to Grade 2. Available in 5-day sessions throughout the summer, this camp invites campers to delve into a world of creativity and discovery.

    Engaging in crafts, going on nature hikes, and exploring various activities, campers will embark on a journey of hands-on exploration. While fostering a love for nature, our Discovery Camp encourages imaginative play and the development of essential skills in a supportive environment. Join us for a week of discovery, creativity, and adventure!
  • Multi-Sport Rookie Camp

    For campers who have completed SK to Grade 2

    The CDS Multi-Sport Rookie Camp is tailored for young campers who have completed SK to Grade 2. Available in 5-day sessions throughout the summer, campers will focus on their foundational skills through engaging games and activities.

    From building basic motor skills to exploring introductory sports concepts, our youngest campers will have a fantastic time while developing essential skills. Additionally, they'll fully experience the summer day camp atmosphere, enjoying wide games and making friends with other campers at the CDS Summer Camp.
  • Multi-Sport All-Star Camp

    For campers who have completed Grades 3 to 5

    Dive into a week of excitement at the CDS Multi-Sport All-Star Program, tailored for young campers who have completed Grades 3-5. Offered in 5-day sessions throughout the summer, our personalized approach ensures each camper makes the most of their experience, engaging in activities like soccer, ultimate frisbee, tennis, and more.

    From mastering the basics to enjoying friendly matches, your camper will have a blast while gaining new skills. Plus, they'll fully experience the summer day camp vibes, having a great time playing games and making friends with other campers at CDS. Get ready for a week filled with sports and laughter.
  • Baseball Camp

    For campers who have completed Grades 3 to 8

    Step up to the plate with the CDS Baseball Camp, tailored for campers aged 10-12 and featuring a dynamic 5-day session this summer. Our personalized approach to skill development ensures each camper receives targeted training, focusing on key aspects of the game.

    From perfecting essential skills like hitting, fielding, and base running to understanding game strategies and teamwork, young baseball enthusiasts will gain the skills needed to shine on the diamond. Off the field, your child will soak in the complete summer day camp experience, forging friendships and participating in various activities with fellow young athletes at CDS.

    For campers who have completed Grades 3 to 8

  • Soccer Camp

    For campers who have completed Grades 3 to 5

    Step onto the field with the CDS Soccer All-Star Camp, designed for kids aged 10-12 with dynamic 5-day sessions available throughout the summer. Our focus on individualized programming ensures maximum skill development, providing campers with over 15 hours of tailored training and game excitement every week.

    From honing essential techniques such as dribbling, passing, and shooting to mastering field positioning and game strategies, young soccer enthusiasts are well-prepared for the thrill of in-game scenarios. Beyond the soccer field, your child will enjoy the complete summer day camp experience, forming friendships and participating in various activities alongside other young athletes at CDS.

    Join us for a soccer adventure with the CDS Varsity Soccer Camp, designed for campers that have completed Grades 6 to 8 and featuring invigorating 5-day sessions throughout the summer. Our targeted approach to skill development ensures each participant receives focused training, honing advanced techniques like precision passing, tactical awareness, and strategic play.

    From mastering defensive and offensive strategies to cultivating leadership skills on the pitch, young soccer enthusiasts will raise their game to new heights. Beyond the soccer field, participants will dive into the complete summer day camp experience, building connections and enjoying diverse activities with peers at CDS.
  • Tennis Camp

    For campers who have completed Grades 3 to 8

    Embark on a tennis adventure with the CDS Summer Camp, featuring 5-day sessions throughout the summer. We tailor our approach to maximize skill development, ensuring each camper receives over 15 hours of weekly training and game action. From perfecting ground strokes and volleys to mastering serves, footwork, and court coverage, our comprehensive curriculum covers it all.

    Your camper will not only enhance their tennis prowess but also savor the complete summer day camp experience, where they can make friends and enjoy the wide array of activities CDS has to offer. It's the perfect blend of skill-building and summer fun!
  • Volleyball Camp

    For campers who have completed Grades 5 to 8

    Elevate your volleyball game at the CDS Volleyball Camp, designed for campers who have completed Grades 5-8. Offering an engaging 5-day session this summer, our camp focuses on refining skills and fostering a love for the sport. From mastering fundamental techniques like serving, passing, and spiking to delving into strategic play and teamwork, campers will enhance their volleyball prowess.

    Beyond the court, participants will immerse themselves in the complete summer day camp experience, making friends and enjoying various activities with their peers at CDS. Join us for a week of spirited play and skill development on the volleyball court!

LAND ACKNOWLEDGMENT

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
