The CDS Dinner & Auction donation deadline is fast approaching on May 1st and we are asking for all families to consider supporting this worthwhile event.
Why should you support? All funds raised from this event will support a new Athletic Facility to replace our aging Cyclone Dome - a facility that every CDS student uses!
What can you do to support the evening? We are asking for your donation of an item to our Silent Auction. This can be a certificate (for services, a restaurant, sporting tickets), a gift card (gas, movies, apple) or a physical item (outdoor items, sporting goods, jerseys, electronics). The list goes on and on and we are happy to share some ideas with you on our Wish List. If you are still not sure what to donate - cash is perfect and we will use it to purchase something on your behalf!
The next step? Click here to commit to donating an item or click here to donate cash! We do not require your item at the school until mid-May, but we do require your commitment so that we can include it in the Auction catalogue!
Important to Note: Unlike other events you may have attended, we do not purchase any items for the silent or live auction. All items are donated or sponsored by our CDS families, community or local businesses. This means that 100% of every dollar raised from the Auction goes back to CDS!
For those that have already supported us with a donation - a heartfelt thank you! To everyone else - please take a moment to support and remember it is not the dollar amount of the donation, but that you support this initiative!
The CDS Auction Committee
P.S. Limited tickets still available! For those still sitting on the fence, we guarantee you will have a great time! Purchase your tickets today at https://www.cds.on.ca/auction-tickets
The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
Founded in 1972, The Country Day School is a co-educational private school offering programs in JK-12 and located on 100 acres north of Toronto in King.
