Sophia – Grade 6

Sophia started at CDS in Grade 2 and now both her sisters have joined her in Grades 2 and 4. She enjoys every subject, but especially language, science and sometimes math. Art and Gym class too. Sophia also likes that if you need to catch up with a class, you can do that at recess with Mrs. Street.

“I love the extracurriculars. I play soccer, volleyball and softball, and on Tuesday/Thursdays play soccer in King City after school too.”

Her advice to new students is to “Take risks – there will probably be lots of new things at CDS that may not have been offered at your old school like robotics, French plays and the Outdoor Ed program where you get to explore the Back 40.”

Sophia enjoys the camaraderie of the Dining Hall, especially when they serve her favourites like perogies, pizza and salad/sandwich bar (ham & cheese and salami & cheese).
