Student Experience
My two children have been students at CDS for the past 10 years. My son started in grade 1 and graduated in 2023 and my daughter started in JK and she just entered high school. Based on what I have observed, they have flourished both academically and otherwise. CDS strives to continuously expand its offerings for the benefit of the student community. Since I have been part of the community, I have witnessed the opening of a newly built Senior School and Junior School which have enhanced the student experience.  My children have looked forward to going to school and that speaks volumes for CDS.

School Leadership
CDS has a great Leadership Team that excels in providing “education with balance” to its student community.  They have got this right by following this ethos with a passion. The team works very hard in ensuring that they provide this to the students and does a great job in doing so.

Teaching and Faculty
During the entire time I have had my children at CDS, the faculty has demonstrated to me beyond a doubt their passion for imparting a great education to children. They take an interest in each child and during parent teacher meetings demonstrate a detailed understanding of where the child is in their academic pursuit. I have always experienced open and frank communication from the faculty regarding my children.  This open communication allows the teaching staff and parents to be on the same page.

Academics
The school consistently produces graduates with great success at post secondary placement in higher education. Curriculum nights provide a great benchmark for parents as to what to expect in the upcoming school year. CDS follows a philosophy of catering the educational experience to each individual child rather than a “one size fits all” philosophy and is very successful in doing so.

Extracurriculars
CDS offers students the ability to choose from a wide variety of extracurriculars. Whether a child has interest in sports, the arts, robotics, or a variety of social clubs,CDS has a place for a child to experience these. The music and performing arts program are amazing. The facilities are exceptional and CDS strives to continuously improve these facilities for the benefit of offering high-demand extra curricular activities.

School Life
My children have loved their time spent at CDS. They have developed relationships that I am sure will last a lifetime. The addition of the Dining Hall has been a great enhancement to school life. Overall, we feel that our family has benefited greatly from all the opportunities CDS has offered our children.

Getting Involved in the Community
One of the school’s core principles is to “Build and Engage our Community”.  CDS works very hard to instill a sense of belonging among the community which includes students, parents, staff and faculty and alumni. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved through volunteering, social gatherings, outreach programs, etc.
