Andrew Bartle

Junior School Outdoor Education Teacher
How do you continue learning in your life? What is your professional passion?
I’m always excited to learn new and exciting ways to create engaging learning opportunities for my students. Having an open mind while working with colleagues, listening to podcasts, reading, and having experiences with new people provides me with energy and motivation to try new approaches. My professional passion is helping students become the best version of themselves through experiences outdoors.

What is one of your favourite interactions with students?
My favourite interactions with students normally occur when they have achieved something they didn’t think they could accomplish individually or as a group. As an Outdoor Ed teacher, this can happen almost every day!

Favourite Thing about Working at CDS:
My favourite part of working at CDS is my classroom. No walls, 100 acres filled with fresh air and endless opportunities.

Something You’ve Crossed off your Bucket List:
The most significant thing I've crossed off my bucket list as of late would be becoming a Dad!

Other Than CDS, I Support …
I support kids going to overnight summer camp! That is where I developed my love for the outdoors - attending Camp Temagami.
