How do you continue learning in your life? What is your professional passion?
I enjoy opportunities to engage in hands-on learning activities. Whether it involves pursuing personal projects, volunteering, or practical endeavors. Additionally, I read about topics relevant to my interests and goals, which helps me to stay informed. Through sharing my knowledge with students, I not only solidify my own learning but also gain fresh perspectives from our interactions.
What is one of your favourite interactions with students?
Witnessing the moment when a student’s face lights up with understanding is truly unforgettable. It signifies more than just grasping a task; it represents a shift in comprehension, where they can connect their learning with real-life experiences.
Favourite Thing about Working at CDS:
The energy from the students and fellow educators in this building is inspiring and the supportive and friendly parent community makes CDS a welcoming place to be. I also would be remiss in not mentioning the food served in the dining hall!
Something You’ve Crossed off your Bucket List:
Surfing intense waves in Australia, ziplining through the mountains of Costa Rica, and exploring the Great Wall of China.
Other than CDS, I Support:
My family in their diverse endeavors, whether assisting with school pursuits, driving lessons, or cheering them on at dance showcases, basketball or soccer games. My family’s happiness and success are top priorities. Additionally, I proudly serve my community as a volunteer firefighter, a role I've been committed to for the past decade.
