Barclay Goodrow ’11
Barclay Goodrow ’11 attended CDS from Grades 7-10, where he was a three-term athlete, including playing school hockey in Grades 8-10 in addition to playing AAA level for the York Simcoe Express. In his Grade 10 year, he was drafted by the OHL Brampton/North Bay Battalion franchise for whom he played five seasons and became the franchise leader in regular season games played, and earned 229 points in 313 career games. In 2014, he signed a three-year, entry-level contract as an unrestricted free agent for the NHL San Jose Sharks, where he went on to play for six seasons before Tampa Bay Lightning traded for him in February 2020. The talented forward went on to win back-to-back Stanley Cups with Tampa (2020, 2021), before signing a six-year contract with the New York Rangers in July 2021.
