Karen So ’08
Karen So ’08 graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Hons) Global Health Specialization. After graduation, she spent three months in Copenhagen at the World Health Organization European Headquarters working in the Division of Information, Evidence, Research and Innovation. She went on to complete her medical degree at the University of Hong Kong and is now an orthopedic surgeon at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Hong Kong.
Karen still plays for the Hong Kong Rugby team, which she accompanied to the Women’s Rugby World Cup in 2017 in Ireland and captained for two seasons in 2018 and 2019, and is a match day doctor for the Hong Kong 7’s.
