Hart Jackson ’02

Hart Jackson ’02 graduated as a “Lifer” having participated in all CDS had to offer over his 14 years, including competing on multiple sports teams (some that were coached by his father, the late Al Jackson), earning a Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award, and serving as Student Council President. Hart graduated from Queen's University with a Specialization BScH in Biochemistry and completed his PhD in Molecular Biology at the University of Toronto. He did his post-doctoral fellowship in Zurich where he conducted a first-of-its-kind research study related to breast cancer, the findings of which were recently published in the prestigious journal Nature.

Today, Dr. Jackson is the Canada Research Chair in Systems Pathology, an Assistant Professor of Molecular Genetics at the University of Toronto, and an Investigator in the Systems Biology Program at the Lunenfeld-Tannebaum Research Institute at Sinai Health where his research lab works with highly multiplexed histopathology imaging to study the multi-cellular organization of tissues and tumours during cancer onset and progression.
