Brian Coulter ’04
Brian Coulter ’04 earned joint Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and BA in Honors Business
Administration degrees from the University of Western Ontario, eventually landing a position at
CPP Investments during the summer of 2008, finding satisfaction in the idea that he was
working for the financial betterment of 18 million Canadians.
Brian went on to become a Rhodes Scholar, earning a master’s degree, and then staying on at Oxford two more years to obtain a PhD in Economics. He submitted his thesis on the economics of banking in September 2013 and then re-joined CPP Investments in 2017, where he now serves as a Managing Director in the London office, evaluating and sourcing public and private debt opportunities in the UK and
continental Europe.
