CDS Summer School 2025

Registration for CDS students opens Monday, January 27, 2025 and NEW for this year, registration will be on-line (further details to come). 
 
CDS Summer School classes are in-person and will run Wednesday, June 25 to Monday, July 21 (no class, Tuesday, July 1). Students need to be in attendance ALL days of the course to accommodate the number of Ministry required 110 hours. The exam will take place on the last day of class. Students must have the required prerequisite for the course selected. Course cost is *$1600 and includes lunch. It does not include textbooks. Bussing for Summer School is not available.

DAILY SCHEDULE:
  • 8:45 - 12:05  Class
  • 12:05 - 12:40  Lunch
  • 12:40 - 3:30  Class
We are pleased to offer the following credit courses:
  • 9 Mathematics (MTH1W) (only open to current Grade 8 CDS students, requires minimum A achieved in 8 Math) 
  • 10 Academic Principles of Mathematics (MPM2D) (requires minimum 80% achieved in MTH1W)
  • 12 University Advanced Functions (MHF4U) (priority for Grade 11 students, requires minimum 80% achieved in MCR3U)
  • 12 University English (ENG4U) (prerequisite: ENG3U)
  • 12 University Studies in Literature (ETS4U) (prerequisite: ENG3U)

  • **NEW COURSE OFFERING 12 Challenge and Change in Society (HSB4U) (prerequisite: any university, college, or univ/college prep course in social sciences & humanities, English, or Canadian & world studies)

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
