Christelle Ah Sen

Middle & Senior School Modern Languages
How do you continue learning in your life? What is your professional passion?
I love reading, listening to audiobooks and podcasts, as well as traveling. There is so much to be learned from the world, different cultures, perspectives, people's lived experiences and wisdom, and building greater cross-cultural perspectives and empathy. I also love food, so it's an added bonus to try foods from different cultures while traveling.

What is one of your favourite interactions with students?
There are too many to count, however, I believe that one of the most rewarding teaching/interaction moments was to witness the Grade 10 French students apply what they have learned in the classroom to the real world during their Grade 10 QC/ Saint-Donat trip.

Favourite thing about Working at CDS?
It is a privilege to support the students every day and foster lifelong learning and curiosity in both my French and Science classes. However, the real treat is to have formed positive relationships with the supportive faculty and staff here at CDS.

Something You’ve Crossed off your Bucket List: Whitewater rafting in Interlaken, Switzerland. This was truly a surreal, adrenaline-filled, unforgettable experience that has been one of my life highlights!

Other than CDS, I Support … My faith is important to me and I love to support and help to foster community at my local church with the Young Adults Ministry, as well as being a Youth Leader for Newlife!, which supports Mauritian Christian youth in the GTA
