Denise Steadman
Physical & Health Education in the Senior School
How do you continue learning in your life? What is your passion?
Workshops, podcasts and conferences. I also watch and learn from my colleagues and students. I took piano lessons as an adult with the goal of attaining grade 6, which I did. I play on a women’s tennis team in the summer and continue to refine my skills. I am passionate about my faith, impacting the lives of my students and athletes, and social justice. In regards to learning about my faith, I attend church, listen to various sermons, dialogue with others, and read and study the bible.
What is one of your most memorable teaching moments?
I cannot just name one. However, anytime a student/athlete is able to achieve and even surpass a goal they set, makes me super happy. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a young person gain confidence as they achieve a goal they have set.

My colleagues, the amazing campus and food, and coaching CDS students!
