Wednesday, Oct. 23 is Game Day in the Senior School!

Back by popular demand, next Wednesday has been declared Game Day (afternoon) in the Senior School with some exciting viewing for our spectators. 
 
Game Schedules:
  • Senior Boys' Soccer match: Kickoff at 2:00 PM - Wyndham-West Field
  • Senior Girls' Soccer match: Starts at 2:30 PM - Hawksworth Field
  • Senior Girls' Basketball game: Begins at 3:30 PM - Senior School Gym
Senior School students will be released from class at 2:30 PM to attend the soccer matches.
All students are encouraged to wear their favorite sweater-weather attire to support the teams.

At 3:30 PM, students who are on the field will have the opportunity to attend the Girls' Basketball game.

The Social Justice Club announced they will be hosting a Bake Sale to support the Scare Away Hunger campaign. All students/faculty/staff who enjoy baking are encouraged to contribute nut-free items for the sale. Proceeds from the bake sale will go directly to supporting the campaign.

And our Athletic Leaders will be selling hot chocolate. Students have the option to trade in three non-perishable food items for the food drive for hot chocolate, otherwise bring your toonies!

Land Acknowledgment

The Country Day School wishes to recognize and acknowledge the land on which the school operates. Our nearest Indigenous Nations are now the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Chippewas of Georgina Island. The Dish with One Spoon Wampum covenant is often cited as an example of the shared responsibility for caring for these lands among the Huron-Wendat, Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples who would call these their traditional territories. CDS respects the relationship with these lands and recognizes that our connection to this land can be strengthened by our continued relationship with all First Nations, by acknowledging our shared responsibility to respect and care for the land and waters for future generations.
