2026 Middle School Grade 7/8 Gauss Mathematics Contest

On May 13th, all of the Middle School students at CDS had the opportunity to participate in this year’s Gauss Mathematics contest. The contest consists of 25 multiple choice questions with topics chosen from the Grade 7 and Grade 8 mathematics curriculum.

Certificates of Distinction were earned by those who achieved in the top 25% of participants at CDS.
On the Grade 8 Gauss, the average score at CDS was 84 out of 150.

Congratulations to all students who participated in this annual enrichment opportunity. A sincere thank you also goes out to Mr. Bell, Ms. Csibi, Ms. Yu, and Ms. Eves who supported the students in preparing for the contest, and to all of the teachers who supervised while students were writing this year.
