CDS is committed to furthering the principles of acceptance, diversity and inclusion and to identifying and eliminating discriminatory biases and systemic barriers.
A recent example of this is how CDS chose to honour Canada’s first National Day of Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day in October 2021.
Brent Johnston, CDS's Executive Director of Advancement, shared his experiences as a Mohawk as a guest at both the Middle and Senior School assemblies. “Every Indigenous person’s story is unique,” he explained. “Our community has to listen to more stories and continue to learn and explore what more they can do.”
